PPI Presents... Grossmont College (2022)
Pacific Paranormal Investigations brings to the classroom its provocative, FREE multimedia presentation on the science and pseudoscience of paranormal investigating:
- Griffin Gate (in Building 60), Grossmont College, 8800 Grossmont College Drive, El Cajon, CA 92020. Griffin Gate is located at the southwest outside corner of the Griffin Student Center, right at the top of the staircase to Parking Lot #6 and the busstops. If you're traveling via Metro Transit System, use bus route 854 to Grossmont College.
- Griffin Gate is wheelchair-accessible and has two gender-neutral restrooms located immediately outside the venue. Closest disabled parking spots are adjacent to Administration Building 10 and Lot 6, with nearby ramp access to the campus.
- General parking for off-campus guests is FREE in all parking spots designated for students. Closest general parking is Lot 7 or the southwest end of the Parking Structure. Learn what skeptial inquiry is and how it's used in the quest for paranormal phenomena. Explore the universal cultural attitudes about the ghosts. Real-life skeptical investigators from a San Diego based TAPS Family group will talk about their experiences and present anomalous findings from their own case files—some that are "real" and others that are just really funny. Learn about the tools used to gather data in allegedly haunted locations, the importance of applying critical thinking skills to properly analyze data, the pitfalls of pseudo-scientific and metaphysical methodologies, and the valuable resources found at your library to begin your own search for the truth about ghostly phenomena.
This event is free and open to Grossmont College students, facuty, staff, and the general public.
