PPI Presents... Oak Park Library

6-8 PM
This event is free and open to the public. (Subject matter may not be suitable for very young children; parental accompaniment is appreciated.)
Pacific Paranormal Investigations comes to the Oak Park Library for the first time to offer an enlightening and FREE multimedia presentation on the science and pseudoscience of paranormal investigating. Learn what skeptial inquiry is and how it's used in the quest for paranormal phenomena. Explore the universal cultural attitudes about the ghosts. Real-life skeptical investigators from a San Diego based TAPS Family group will talk about their experiences and present anomalous findings from their own case files—some that are "real" and others that are just really funny. Learn about the tools used to gather data in allegedly haunted locations, the importance of applying critical thinking skills to properly analyze data, the pitfalls of pseudo-scientific and metaphysical methodologies, and the valuable resources found at your public library to begin your own search for the truth about ghostly phenomena.
